1. CONTEST DESCRIPTION: The TASTEMAKERS contest invites professional bartenders to submit four original (created by the entrant) drink recipes - one each for the four flavors of Grey Goose vodka: Grey Goose Vodka, Grey Goose L'Orange, Grey Goose Le Citron and Grey Goose La Vanille. 48 semi-finalists will be selected. The top four grand finalists may be featured in a special Grey Goose advertising section running in September 2004 issues of 8 Condé Nast magazines (photo shoot to take place in New York City), and will receive a TASTEMAKERS trip to New York City (3 days, 2 nights) to attend and participate as bartenders in the Grey Goose TASTEMAKERS gala event and will receive a Condé Nast shopping spree and dinner at a Condé Nast selected restaurant. The 44 runner-ups may have their name and bar listed in the September 2004 Grey Goose advertising section and all 48 semi-finalists will receive a private party for 100 guests at a bar in their hometown.
2. HOW TO ENTER: The contest begins February 9, 2004 and ends March 31, 2004. Mail entries will be accepted beginning February 9, 2004, online entries will be accepted beginning at 12:01 AM, February 9, 2004. To enter, you must either: (i) enter online by going to the contest Web site at http://www.condenet.com/greygoosevodka, fill in the required information on the official entry form, and follow the online instructions to submit the form with four drink recipes or (ii) send mail-in entry to: PO Box 10242 Fairfield, NJ 07004. Regardless of method of entry, you must include up to three recent photos of yourself, your name, address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, birth date, email address (or indicate "none" if you do not have an email account). If you do not want your email address used for future marketing purposes, please check the appropriate box on the entry form or write "no email marketing" on your mail-in entry. Your photograph(s) (electronically accepted formats are gif and jpg, each of a size not exceeding 300 pixels by 300 pixels, and with a total file size for up to three photos of self that does not exceed 40K, or for mail-in, enclose printed, color photograph(s) that are 8" x 10" or smaller) is essential to complete your entry.
All online entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM, EST on March 31, 2004. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2004 and received by April 7, 2004. Entries are limited to one entry per person and/or per household address and/or per email. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by and acknowledge compliance with these official rules including eligibility requirements. Responsibility for receipt of entry rests solely with the entrant. All entries become the property of Condé Nast/CondéNet (the "Sponsor"). The Sponsor has the unrestricted right to use all or part of any entry for commercial and other purposes. Sponsor will not be responsible for lost, damaged or misdirected mail or for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic transmissions or communications, or for any human or mechanical error that may occur in the processing of the entries in this contest. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel any portion of the promotion if it becomes technically corrupted. Sponsor will not acknowledge receipt of entries and will not return entries.
3. ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE IS REQUIRED TO ENTER. Prize winners are subject to other verification and eligibility requirements. The contest is open to professional bartenders persons who are 21 years or older at time of entry and able to prove it by furnishing suitable identification and signing an affidavit that you are 21 years of age or older. By entering this promotion, you are affirming that you are 21 years of age or older. Entrants must be legal residents of the United States. Void outside the United States and where prohibited by law. Entrants who have an ownership interest in an on-sale or off-sale retail alcoholic beverage business are ineligible. Employees (and their immediate families) of Sponsor, Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc., All State Promotions, Inc. or any of their affiliates, subsidiaries, participating vendors, promotion or advertising agencies, or any other company involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of the contest are ineligible to enter the contest. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
4. WINNER SELECTION: Sponsor will select forty-eight (48) semi-finalists on or about April 14, 2004, from among all eligible entries received. Sponsor will select four (4) grand-prize winners on or about May 3, 2004, from among the semi-finalists. All entries will be judged based on recipe quality, taste and originality (90%) and photograph (10%). Judging will be conducted by a Condé Nast-selected panel, whose decisions are final on all matters related to this contest. In the event of a tie, Condé Nast reserves the right to ask for additional material or a telephone interview to make a final decision for each category. All decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding on all matters relating to this contest.
5. PRIZES: Each of the four (4) grand finalists will be flown to New York City to participate in a photo shoot for the Grey Goose advertising section, which is expected to appear in September 2004 Condé Nast magazines. Each grand finalist will receive round-trip coach airfare from the major commercial airport in the U.S. nearest to the winners' home to New York City, hotel ground-transfers and hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy) for 2 days, 1 night (approximate retail value: $1500 per winner). Winners will be required to take this trip in accordance with Condé Nast's photo shoot schedule. In addition, grand-finalists will be flown to New York City again in September 2004 to attend the Grey Goose TASTEMAKERS gala event. Each grand-finalist will receive round-trip coach airfare from the major commercial airport in the U.S. nearest to the winners' home to New York City, hotel ground-transfers and hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy) for 3 days, 2 nights and receive a Condé Nast shopping spree and dinner (approximate retail value: $4,000 per winner). If winner is unavailable for either trip to New York City, an alternate winner may be selected. Grand-finalists will be required to take this trip in accordance with the Grey Goose TASTEMAKERS gala event date.
Each of the forty-eight (48) semi-finalists may receive their name and bar of occupation listed in the Grey Goose September 2004 advertising section. Semi-finalists will also each receive a private party for 100 guests at a bar in their hometown (approximate retail value: $9,000 per winner). Party(s) must take place during June 21, 2004 through December 1, 2004.
While Sponsor currently intends to publish the advertising section in Condé Nast magazines, publishing schedules are subject to change and/or cancellation. Prizes cannot be assigned, transferred, changed, or redeemed for cash except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. All federal, state, and local taxes, and all other expenses not specifically mentioned herein are the sole responsibility of the winners. Other restrictions may apply.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: From among all eligible entries, semi-finalists will be selected and notified by phone and/or mail on or about April 14, 2004. Each semi-finalist must return within five (5) business days after notification attempt an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity/Permission Release signed before a notary public. From among semi-finalist pool, grand-finalists will be selected and notified by phone and/or mail on or about May 3, 2004. Each grand-finalist must return within five (5) business days after notification attempt an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity/Permission Release signed before a notary public. Failure of any winner to return the aforementioned material within the specified time period may result in winner's forfeiture of the prize and selection of alternate winner(s) from remaining eligible entries. By accepting any prize, winners consent to the use of their names, voices, likenesses and winning entry for promotional, advertising, publicity or trade purposes in any and all media worldwide in perpetuity by Sponsor, and Grey Goose without further compensation unless otherwise prohibited by law, and specifically agree to appear in a Condé Nast publications advertising section for Grey Goose.
7. CONDITIONS: By participating in this contest, entrants and winners release Sponsor, Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc., All State Promotions, Inc. and each of their parents, partners, stockholders, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, agents, employees, advertising agencies, and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from this contest and/or acceptance or use of any prize, including, without limitation, liability for personal injury, damages or loss.
8. LIST OF WINNERS: To obtain the names of winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope marked "TASTEMAKERS Contest" by December 6, 2004 to: Condé Nast Publications, Winners List, c/o Lisa Boyars, 4 Times Square, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10036.
