Lucid's team and mission of environmental responsibility

Lucid Design Group was started by a diverse team skilled in education, software engineering and graphic arts in one of the first modern green buildings in the U.S. Now, nearly five years later, thousands of people live and work in schools, offices and homes equipped with Lucid's Building Dashboard® technology, monitoring everything from electricity consumption to photovoltaic production, natural gas consumption to rainwater recycling.

We believe that all buildings implicitly tell a story about our relationship with the environment. But the story of resource use embodied in most buildings is not consistent with the goals of environmental stewardship. By visualizing the invisible flows of resources around us, we hope to motivate and empower buildings occupants to develop a more sustainable relationship between humans and the natural world.
